Vodbull UK wants you to have the BEST night of your life, every night! With this in mind, please make yourselves familiar with our safety advice! Birmingham is a big city, KNOWLEDGE is POWER! Don’t make yourself a target for crime!

KNOW YOUR LIMITS

Make sure you eat before your night out! Pres can be fun, but maybe keep it just to a couple of drinks. We’d hate you to miss our parties, and even worse, make it out and not be fully in control! At the club it’s always good to alternate alcoholic drinks with water.

NEVER LEAVE YOUR DRINK UNATTENDED

Whether it’s your friends playing up or something more sinister, keep your drinks with you all night.

DON’T FLASH YOUR STASH

Keep your phone, wallet/purse and jewellery safe and never leave them unattended.

HAVE A PARTY PAL

Make arrangements with a buddy (or two) that you’ll ensure that you both get home safely. Look after your friends and they’ll look after you! If your plans change, let them know where you’ll be, and that you’ve got back safely.

TRAVEL HOME IN GROUPS

Don’t walk home, no matter how close you think you live and even if you’re in a group. NEVER walk home alone!

ALWAYS GET AN OFFICIAL TAXI

With Uber taxis your driver will always direct you to their cab, and you’ll be insured, not to mention you’ll get an email confirming exactly where you get picked up, dropped off, when and by which driver! If an Uber isn’t available or you’d prefer not to use them, you MUST use the official taxi rank (always staffed with fully qualified marshals). Always take a photo of the number plate of your cab. NEVER get in to a unmarked or unbooked vehicle!

IF IN DOUBT, ASK FOR HELP

At all of our events we have dedicated Event Managers, Front of House staff and First Aiders, (and all of our venues have fully qualified Management, Security and First Aiders). Feeling a little worse for wear, or lost your pals? Make yourself known to us and we’ll be happy to help.

IF YOU’VE BEEN A VICTIM OF A CRIME

You are not alone! Your university has people that you can talk to anonymously. Your Union/Guild will have an Advice and Representation Centre. Simply look on your university’s website or ask at reception. They can help! Of course the police also have lots of ways to support you too. Always report it if you’re a victim of crime (links below)
